Profile

I was born in Trento, Northern Italy, right during those early November days when the autumn colors blow in all their beauty in the surrounding mountains. Growing up in the foothills of the Alpine environment made me discover, appreciate, and respect the wonderful diversity of nature since I was a child.

A trip to Kenya received as a present from my grandfather had a profound influence on me. My eyes took pictures of stunning landscapes and wild animals never seen before. My heart experienced new emotions which grew strongly inside myself, and led me a few years later to volunteer a black rhino conservation project in Zimbabwe.

The love for the wilderness and its inhabitants was constantly present within myself, but it was not before 2002 that I took up photography, when a reflex camera received as a present from my father opened that inner door through which my passion for nature photography jumped out, as a waterfall full of energy!

Thus, my unbridled love for nature and an ever growing passion for photography blended together in the desire of conveying the magnificence and the fragility of the natural world through inspiring images.

My approach to photography can be defined as an inside-out creative process. Before comes the feeling of harmony and togetherness with the environment and only then I’m inspired to translate that sensation into an image. Sometimes that image captures your attention or makes you feel an emotion, hence the circle is closed and my mission is achieved…

Since when I’ve started to plunge myself into nature and exploring new places, some images and articles have been published in the following magazines: Asferico, Tutti Fotografi, Fotografia Reflex, Naturae Magazine.
