PHOTO TOUR
TIMBAVATI, SOUTH AFRICA
20-27 NOVEMBER 2024
Abundance of wildlife in a beautiful landscape, exclusive accommodation and ease of sightings: an extraordinary combination to enjoy a simply unique safari experience.
Presentation
“The place where something sacred came down to Earth from the Heavens”: this is the meaning of Timbavati, a private reserve dedicated to conservation that shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park.
An ecosystem very rich in biodiversity where lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino are all regularly spotted, as well as wild dog, jackal, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, many species of gazelle and a myriad of birds. A lush environment with wide plains and hills, waterholes, sparse forests and large trees.
As well as being a destination with excellent density of wildlife, Timbavati has a strong conservation ethos and vehicles numbers are kept to a minimum. This means a more exclusive safari experience with few lodges and visitors. Above all, it allows you to experience intimate and exciting encounters with wildlife, often in complete solitude.
For cat lovers, lion and leopard are famously comfortable and habituated to the presence of vehicles over decades of respectful safari practices aimed first and foremost at the welfare of the animals. Moreover, the very rare white lion also lives in the reserve.
Timbavati is also a sanctuary for the conservation of the rhino, both white and black, here frequently encountered and photographed with its naturally growing horn, as they are protected by highly efficient anti-poaching units.
The tour is addressed to a small group of 4/5 people, accompanied by the undersigned Alessandro Gruzza as professional photographer, at your complete disposal to get the best out of your photographs. The program has been designed mainly for photography but it is also suitable for those who wish to visit an enchanting place of authentic Africa.
The accommodation has been chosen in really special places, so to enjoy a unique full-immersion experience in direct contact with the extraordinary beauty of Nature: 4 nights in a small eco-friendly camp that accommodates a maximum of 16 guests, 3 nights in an exclusive-use private homestead.
Both lodges are very comfortable with large bedrooms, available in both double and single rooms.
